Meet Our Hand Therapists


Joshua Ramos

Joshua Ramos, OTR/L, CEAS, is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist. Joshua joined FORM Hand Therapy in July 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science in 2012, and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2013, both from the Dominican University of California. Joshua is also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and has performed ergonomic onsite evaluations, allowing companies to provide their employees with a safe workplace and reducing workplace injuries. Additionally, he is currently pursuing his Hand Therapy Certification.

At FORM Hand Therapy, Joshua enjoys meeting so many different types of people and hearing their stories. He often explains to his patients that an injury/condition doesn’t define them and that they don’t always have to stop doing the things they love to do because of them. In his practice, Joshua has incorporated the use of musical instruments with musicians to assist in desensitization, coordination, strengthening, and regaining motion of the hand and upper extremity.

When not at work, Joshua enjoys DJaying and playing, producing, and writing music.


Kevin Yeung

Kevin Yeung, OTR/L, is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California – Davis and earned a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. His clinical interests include custom-fabricated orthotics, kinesiology taping, and working with pediatric patients.

As a physical therapist, Kevin enjoys having the opportunity to see the progress that patients achieve from beginning to end and the impact that it makes on their quality of life. He always advises his patients to take one day at a time, and not to get overwhelmed by what they cannot control. Rehabilitation takes time.

When not at work, Kevin enjoys hiking, running, and finding new restaurants to eat at in the Bay Area.


Troy Shelton, certified hand therapist at FORM Ortho

Troy Shelton, OTR/L, CHT, CEAS II

Troy Shelton, OTR/L, CHT, CEAS II, is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Carroll College in Helena, Montana and received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Washington in Seattle. Additionally, Troy is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist II, a Level 1 Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and a Certified Emotion Code and Body Code Practitioner. She is also certified in Graston Technique and Reposturing. Her clinical interests include orthopedics and cumulative trauma.

Troy has been in practice for 24 years as an Occupational Therapist, and 14 years as a Certified Hand Therapist. She enjoys helping people return to what is important to them in their lives, empowering them in their healing, and providing them with education and strategies to maximize their well-being. In her practice, she often advises her patients to listen to what their body is telling them, respect it, and seek help when needed to optimize recovery.

When she is not at work, Troy enjoys studying holistic health practices, spending time with her family, and spending time outdoors.


Rita Thomas, physical therapist at FORM Ortho

Rita Thomas, OTR/L, CHT

Rita Thomas, OTR, CHT, is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. She completed her undergraduate studies at San Jose State University and completed her Hand Therapy Clinical Training Program at Loma Linda University.

At FORM Ortho, Rita enjoys helping her patients recover from illness or injury to facilitate functional independence and a return to their previous lifestyle. In her practice, she emphasizes to her patients the importance of doing their Home Exercise Program on a daily basis, as it really speeds up recovery.

When not at work, Rita enjoys reading, knitting, crocheting, and her daily walks with her German Shepherd, Remi.
