Dr. Joshua Matthews

Joshua M. Matthews, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He was educated at the University of Missouri in Columbia and received his MD degree in 2009. He then completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Kansas. After residency, Dr. Matthews received additional fellowship training in arthroscopy and sports medicine in San Diego, California. As a fellow, he was fortunate to work with athletes at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels. He has extensive experience in the minimally invasive treatment of sports and work-related injuries of the shoulder and knee. He additionally cares for a variety of traumatic and general orthopedic conditions. He is board eligible with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Matthews enjoys an active lifestyle of rock climbing, hiking, paddle boarding, cycling, and fitness training. Dr. Matthews’ passion for being active is what drives his motivation for helping patients maintain their physical activity and recover from injury.
